To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force on 1st April 2018, Halcyon Days crafted this handsome enamel box featuring a handpainted reproduction of Douglas Granville Chandor's 1946 portrait of Sir Winston Churchill in RAF uniform. Churchill was an Honorary Air Commodore of the RAF and captured the bravery of RAF pilots in his 1940 speech, "Never in the history of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." A magnificent example of British craftsmanship, this enamel box is worthy of the two icons it celebrates, the Royal Air Force and Sir Winston Churchill. This exquisitely crafted music box is inspired by the stained glass window of The Chapel Royal at St. James' Palace, originally erected in 2002 to mark the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. While the box's exterior features the colorfully intricate latticework of the window, the inside cover sports a short history of the window against simple white. When opened, 'Ave Maria' as composed by Franz Schubert immediately begins playing. Handcrafted and hand-enameled by skilled English artisans.

In celebration of the 70th Birthday of HRH The Prince of Wales, Halcyon Days are proud to release this special box with a remarkable oil sketch portrait of HRH The Prince of Wales by talented artist, Eileen Hogan. Created in 2015, the portrait features the Prince casually sitting at his desk at Birkhall with wild flowers from the garden. Set upon a Prince of Wales Blue enamel base and framed in a copper mount with the inner lid commemorating the significant Birthday year. Limited to an edition of 70. The North Portico at Blenheim Palace was painted in 1928 by British artist Colin Gill. Staring down from the ceiling are the bright blue eyes of Gladys, Duchess of Marlborough (née Gladys Deacon). She was reported to have climbed the scaffolding whilst the artist was painting to give him a blue silk scarf that matched her eyes as a reference. This superb enamel box is ornately decorated with 24ct gold and all the inscriptions are in Gill Sans - a font created by Eric Gill the cousin of the artist.

To mark the fiftieth anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill's death, Halcyon Days collaborated with the National Portrait Gallery to create this limited edition enamel box. The portrait on the lid of the box was painted in 1916 by Sir William Newenham Montague Orpen. Perhaps because of the recent disaster at Gallipoli, Churchill's expression seems deeply troubled, making this portrait quite unique in capturing his profound, personal sense of humanity, as well as his public role as a statesman. A handsome example of great British craftsmanship, handpainted in England using traditional techniques.

To celebrate the Royal Wedding of TRH The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge at Windsor Castle which took place at Windsor Castle on 19th May, 2018, Halcyon Days has created a collection in celebration of the very special union between the couple. The design of this original collection combines the Union Jack and the Star-Spangled Banner representing the unofficially termed 'Special Relationship' between the UK and the USA. The flags sit side by side each other as friends and in harmony. This striking artwork is featured on a handcrafted enamel box which has been made in England by our team of skilled enamellers.
