Since 1748, The King’s Birthday Parade (Trooping the Colour) has been a tradition which celebrates the official birthday of the British Sovereign. This spectacular and meticulously organised display takes place in June, with over 1400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians, performed by regiments of the British and Commonwealth armies. Here, New York based illustrator Tug Rice has designed a playful and jubilant interpretation of this occasion. His work has been reproduced on a sumptuously soft, 100% silk scarf.
