"Inspired by the verses of Goethe’s poem, I looked into the duality of the Ginkgo biloba. Since always, this tree symbolises beauty, strength, vitality and eternal youth. Its leaf that is split in two represents friendship and unity in the couple. My Lady Ginkgo is full of appeal, elegance and her silhouette has the lightness of a ballerina. Like a leaf falling on the ground in autumn, she evokes at the same time beauty and detachment, liberty and end.’’ Each Daum crystal piece is made using the rare and ancient "Pâte de Verre" glassmaking method, which dates back to 5,000 BC. Daum Crystal La Foule by Laurence Bonnel, Limited Edition $6,430
Born in 1976 in Paris, Laurence Bonnel discovered the art of sculpture in 1998, through her art history and literature courses that revolved around the human form. Human figures play a key role in the works of Laurence Bonnel – she creates architectural silhouettes, primitive in some sense, which emanate a grand presence. The motif of the human, that of couples and that of the crowd, is recurrent and central in her imagination, and is purified with stylization akin to that found in the works of Giacometti, or the Cubist bodies of Zadkine.
$6,430
The silhouettes she crafts express in themselves, their narrative form. They find their transmission through the inner and subjective experience of the spectator. The process of identification takes place: the more one observes the silhouette, the more one gets into introspection.
Each Daum piece is made using the rare and ancient "Pâte de Verre" glassmaking method, which dates back to 5,000 BC. It involves melting many fragments of colored crystal within a mold, resulting in intense colors against a subtle background. Handmade in France. Limited edition of 125.

Daum Crystal Silverback Gorilla by Jean-No $12,830
Assorted Pieces
“The Gorilla has been the subject of a specific work on attitude and material. The polished silverback contrasts with the unstructured aspect of the arms, and the magma of mechanical parts, screws, and nuts. The color, the shadows, and the bursts of light of the crystal accentuate my delicate work.” Jean-No As an earnest supporter of the French art scene and a crystal manufacturer deeply rooted in Nancy’s history, it is only natural that Daum instigated a new collaboration with this local artist. The Maison Daum crystallizes the powerful gorillas of the artist. Initially works in iron and steel, created from the fusion of recovered nuts, screws, and bolts, they are transposed in crystal paste, this fragile, soft material with subtle colors, and arouse a new emotion. The crystal manufacturer, master of the crystal paste, stays true to the favorite material of the artist and unveils a perfect reinterpretation masterpiece of the rendering of the fusion of metals. Daum Crystal Zhao by Paul Beckrich, Limited Edition $152,550
Interested in a wide range of creative media, Paul Beckrich became fascinated with using enamel figures and sculpture as his main forms of art. His three guiding principles are movement, expression and material. He crafted a realistic depiction of an iconic figure from the Tang dynasty, Wu Zetian, by imagination alone and was inspired by her strong will and power Wu Zetian is the only woman to have ruled China as an empress and is revered for being the first woman to have established her own dynasty, which lasted over 50 years. During her reign, she created a Chinese character, Zhao, which means light of the sun and the moon illuminating the earth – Wu Zetian regarded herself metaphorically to be Zhao, which is why she later also adopted the name Wu Zhao. Beckrick's use of the transparency and the brightness of pâte-de-crystal immortalizes Zhao and allows her tol transcend time and instill a sense of intensity and power to every onlooker today.
