It rests on a specially fitted wood base that has a plaque saying “America’s Cup”, referring to the oldest active trophy in international sport (since 1851). The overall size is 19 ¾” x 5 ¼” x 17”h.

Sterling silver is skillfully manipulated by Bucellati silversmiths into the elegant Daisy Blossom motif, transformed into stunning jewelry featuring 18k goldplated centers studded with 63 exquisite brown diamonds (1.60 tcw). Handmade with beautifully matched crotch mahogany veneers and a handtooled leather top. Solid oak drawers with English dovetails at the front and back with carved fretwork accenting the corners. It also has lostwax-cast solid brass hardware and a handrubbed English finish. Exquisitely finished and decorated on the back as on the front.

The highly accurate Astrolabium Clock has a quartz regulated month and zodiac disc and a sun, moon and earth ball. Through the visible highly intricate gear train system, Astrolabium reproduces the annual orbit of the earth around the sun, with the earth rotating around its own axis once in 24 hours and the moon revolves around the earth in 29.5 days, completing a full rotation around its axis. In the course of one year, the earth passes all twelve zodiac signs, months and individual days, which are indicated on the nickel disc. The crystal dome is mouthblown, with charming irregularities that add to the old-world charm of this clock. Runs via alkaline battery.
