Etienne is passionate about sculpting, with bronze usually being his preferred medium. He finds most of his inspiration in poetry and his work is loaded with borrowed symbolism & intentional details. His sculptures give life to his favorite poetry, usually about love & beauty.

With Colombe, Etienne expresses peace, simplicity and friendship. The dreamy and pensive attitude of the depicted face suggests that the character’s thoughts are directed at a loved one, thus making the title for the sculpture a fitting one.

The grey hue to the crystal is a special mixed coloring that gives the sculpture its uniqueness. Each Daum crystal piece is made using the rare and ancient "Pâte de Verre" glassmaking technique, which dates back to 5,000 BC, involves melting many fragments of colored crystal within a mold. This results in intense colors and subtle shading. Handmade in France. Limited edition of 375.
