Description Shipping & Returns

Handmade with beautifully matched crotch mahogany veneers and a handtooled leather top. Solid oak drawers with English dovetails at the front and back with carved fretwork accenting the corners. It also has lostwax-cast solid brass hardware and a handrubbed English finish. Exquisitely finished and decorated on the back as on the front.

Measures 72" w x 36" d x 30" h. Kneehole measures 28" w x 32¼" d x 23¾" h.

This is an outstanding desk and it's beautiful, period, leather top in three parts, as you can see from image above, beautiful gold leaf border on the leather, nice touch, incredibly deep rich wood colors, all sides of desk present very well, front and back, the front side not shown in the picture has borders around the front panels, much like the borders you see in the picture on the sides above, it is reminiscent of images of the president's desk minus the wooden eagle, the front center panel on the side not shown is indented by about 2-3 inches, so it gives the front some depth, this is very sturdy construction, not one screw in the entire desk, it's all dovetail, desk fits together like a puzzle; I watched them assemble it with no tools, so worth it, glad I made the purchase, desk will be enjoyed for decades, I'd say.
