This valet is well made as well as gorgeous. The wood is lovely. My husband began using it immediately. The valet stand was very well packed so that nothing, save an elephant, could damage it.
My only regret is that the packing materials cannot be returned for reuse. They were in perfect condition just as was the valet they protected.

Impressive
1. The packing.
The horizontal members of the valet were supported by rolled cardboard columns.
The valet was covered with a thin soft foam sleeve.
Which was encased in a foam board coffin.
Which was enclosed in the manufacturers carton.
Which was wrapped with bubble wrap.
And placed in a cut to order Scully's brown cardboard box.
The way it was packed I expected to find the Mona Lisa inside.
2. The product.
Good wood with no dents or imperfections.
Properly cut, sculpted, rounded, sanded, and glued.
Stained with a penetrating stain and finished with a low-lustre varnish.
It is well constructed, functional, and a pleasure to look at.

Valet Stand is Solidly Made and Handsome

I was quite pleased with the Scully & Scully valet stand. It arrived carefully packed and in perfect condition. The mahogony stand is solidly made and surprisingly handsome. It is a useful addition to the bedroom.
