Carved mahogany 'X' frame hall stool in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster. Bowed molded edge solid seat on serpentine carved ‘X’ frame supports centred by a shaped foliage carved panel. The panel is proudly handpainted with the Spencer Family crest, of the late Princess Diana. Gilt ‘C' scroll accents on the sides. Inspired by the original George III, circa 1760.

A beautiful piece of utilitarian furniture

This excellent and well-built piece arrived in perfect condition due to extremely well thought out packing. The fit and finish are excellent and in the location I chose, my entryway, fits perfectly allowing a comfortable seat for guests to remove and later put on their shoes. In today’s environment with attention to sanitation concerns the bench is perfect for the refined home or office.
