Georg Jensen Koppel Crystal & Sterling Silver Carafe

Inspired by Koppel's classic Pitcher 974B, Georg Jensen's artists revisited the design and updated it in 2018 to combine crystal and sterling silver. Just like the original, the neck of this pitcher is decorated with a flat pure .999 silver thread. The silver thread which 'extends' the 'neck' is inspired by the African tradition of giving a girl a new ring to put around her neck each year. The mouthblown crystal crafted by Georg Jensen was chosen due to contrast the distinctive fine silver wrapping. Handmade in Denmark.
