My family has been blessed with three babies due within two months of one another. I purchased my first rattle for the baby born in June and the second one for the baby born in August. I initially thought they would be a wonderful keepsake to pass down in the family; however, I'm pleasantly surprised that the rattle is being used. It's become one of his favorite things to hold even at two months old. Being that all three sets of parents graduated from Baylor and their mascot is a bear this rattle is perfect in every way!

This was sent directly as a gift to my recipient so I have never held it in my hands but living in NYC and knowing the gorgeous store that is Scully and Scully I was totally confident that the quality would be top notch! The teddy bear made it extra special!
It was received today by my nephew’s son and his parents immediately let me know that is was a magnificent piece and will be treasured and passed down through their family for generations to come!

The Perfect Baby Gift

I've given this gift to each of my nieces and nephews at their birth, as well as to the babies of very close friends. It's the perfect baby gift!!
Many people may think it's merely a decorative item or an elegant marker of birth, however, I always encourage parents to use this often with the baby. Most know that the rattling will entertain the baby, however, many don't know that that silver is hypo-allergenic and anti-microbial - perfect for a baby. Additionally, when refrigerated, the cool metal is soothing to the baby's gums while teething. But more importantly, the silver will record the babies first bite marks and teeth scrapings in the scratches and dents that it receives during the baby's teething process, thereby becoming a true heirloom and treasure.
I wish that the piece came along with a card that pointed these great benefits out to new parents.

This little baby, sterling Teddy Bear rattle is so sweet.., and exactly what I was looking for. Giving it as part of a Christening gift to my nephew and his wife, for their new baby girl.. Just sorry the bar could not be engraved.. It would have been extra nice to have had her name engraved on it.. But it is beautiful, and I’m sure to be passed down for many years to come.
