With the Jungle collection, Daum is initiating a new era, where nature is explored, plants are creatively depicted and where fauna and flora meddle in a blast of colors and energy. The realism of the sculptures and the magic of the colours are truly fascinating.

The collection also pays tribute to Art Nouveau. It was this artistic trend - characterized by inventiveness, colors and rhythms inspired by trees, insects or animals – that established Daum as an Art industry in the early 20th century. And so, the Jungle collection draws a link between the heritage of the past and the creations of the present. The limited edition Jungle vases and bowls present a universe of foliage where have landed superb calaos and touracos, two fragile birds chosen here for their rarity – they, among many other magestic creatures are threatened today because of deforestation.

Each Daum crystal piece is made using the rare and ancient "Pâte de Verre" glassmaking technique, which dates back to 5,000 BC and involves melting many fragments of colored crystal within a mold. This results in intense colors and subtle shading. Handmade in France.

The seats are rattan, topped with soft cushions featuring off-white velvet covers that are zippered in back to remove for dry cleaning. The rear legs are sabers, while the front two are round tapered legs terminating in spade feet.
