And so, the Jungle collection draws a link between the heritage of the past and the creations of the present. The limited edition Jungle vases and bowls present a universe of foliage where have landed superb calaos and touracos, two fragile birds chosen here for their rarity – they, among many other magestic creatures are threatened today because of deforestation.

Each Daum crystal piece is made using the rare and ancient "Pâte de Verre" glassmaking technique, which dates back to 5,000 BC and involves melting many fragments of colored crystal within a mold. This results in intense colors and subtle shading. Handmade in France.

This wonderful trompe l'oeil table, handmade in Italy of leather over wood, appears to be a stack of large old books but in fact offers two forms of storage. What looks like the top three books is actually a storage space with a lift top, and what looks like the bottom book is a drawer. A superb example of the clock made by the London maker Joseph Knibb (1640-1711) with a triple chime movement. The walnut case is decorated with burr walnut veneers and fine marquetry panels. The marquetry depicts birds and flower motifs popular in cabinet work of the William and Mary period. The hood is decorated with barley twist pillars and hand cut fretwork. The solid brass dial has cherub spandrels, silver plated chapter ring and blue lacquered period hands. The marquetry panels are created using boxwood, pear wood, walnut, satinwood and black-dyed sycamore. The cabinet has a hand rubbed waxed finish. Exclusively at Scully & Scully.
