Their plumage is as spirited as the bird and, while it seems counterintuitive, serves as a protective device by blending in well among the colorful fruits, flowers and bluish-shadows of the macaw’s rainforest home. With no subtle sparrow at hand, the artists at Herend knew they had to create an exotic medley of fishnet colors as vibrant as the birds themselves.
