Herend West Highland Terrier

The moment I laid eyes on this item, I needed to get thisWest Highland Terrier. I knew a little dog, for 18 years, that resembled this piece. He was cute, frisky and sweet.He has been gone for almost 18 years now, and has been missed, by myself and others. When I look at this china, on my coffee table, I am reminded of Sammy. That is why I call this Herend piece "Little Sammy". They will both be cherished now and forever. Thank you.

I must confess, when I first opened the large (comparatively) box holding this Herend product, I was aghast at how small it was. I was shocked. At first it looked I could have gotten it in a 5 and dime store. Actually I was angry enough to call Scully. My wife came home and I showed it to her with anger on my face. She is a retired art teacher and Wow with praise. She immediately commented with delight at the paint job. I then spent some time looking up Herend and learned what a fantastic product they produce, this one included. So of course now I was happier. I then studied the product very closely, and would have to agree it is a piece of art, something that can be handed down over time. My daughter will get this for her birthday as she had to put her Westy down last year. I know she will be delighted. So I learned a lot. I would recommend that Scully include a description of the Herend product with it. Scully has good descriptions on the web and could do this easily. I had to type my own version so my daughter understand the value of this present.

Beautiful item

The figure is gorgeous and is styled to perfection. It is just as i hoped it would be. Have collected Herend for years as have my-parents and grandparents.This is a surprise Christmas stocking stuffer for my wife. This last July our Westie of 16 years passed. I thought that-this would be a lovely addition to our collection in his honor.We enjoy the Scully & Scully catalogue very much and look forward to receiving them.Thank you for featuring Herend and for your very fine items.

A superb addition to anyone's collection of Westie figurines. Beautifully executed, and since each figurine is hand-painted, each is unique. The little gold bone painted on the side adds playful interest!

Scully & Scully is New York's hidden secret treasure trove. Toronto has William Ashley fine china which has been in business many years (I have collected Lalique, Christofle, Daum, and Herend over the years) but their selection of product is far surpassed by Scully & Scully. I ordered from Scully & Scully after I had ordered this Herend figurine elsewhere. The retailer was a small operator & I had to wait 2 months before I could request a refund. I then went looking for Herend authorized retailers & stumbled on Scully & Scully. Great service - they sent my product via Fedex as opposed to USPS & then Canada Post. Thank you Scully & Scully!
