Break arch antique yew finish case with book-matched burr yew veneers. Door features cross-banded figured yew with inlaid black edgeline. Handrubbed waxed finish. Eight-day weight driven chime movement with silencer. Automatic night silencer (10:00pm to 7:15am) and chime sequence correction. Gridiron style pendulum. Enamel finish dial with seconds indication and period h hands. Beveled glass and lacquered solid brass. Secret key compartment. Westminster melody on rods. Handmade in England.

The Comitti Canterbury clock. Finely detailed Yew wood case with inlaid black stripes on the door. A classy, formal appearance. Clock mechanism is accurate and the chimes are self-correcting. Chimes are not too loud! I am happy with the clock -- considerable kinetic energy (and sound) added to the living room. Be aware: the clock is good-sized, almost a yard tall! Why 4 stars? Although well packaged, the clock arrived with damage (broken glass). Thanks to S&S for making a quick adjustment to compensate me for the inconvenience.
