Solid cherry wood case is stained in a rich walnut finish with burlwood inlays and a glossy piano finish. The mechanical skeleton movement allows for the observation and admiration of the intricacy of the engineering. The clock runs on a 14-day power reserve, and the bell strikes once per hour. Stands on four brass feet. Handmade in Germany.

Measures 8" w x 6" d x 12" h.

Quality Skeleton Mantel Clock

This clock looks and feels substantial with a strong spring and a 14 day movement. After some adjustment to the pendulum length it keeps perfect time. It chimes once on the hour but it is a very light chime that you won't hear unless you are close to the clock or the room is silent so even in a bedroom there is no need for a chime silencer. You have to hold the pendulum to the left or right to put the key through the hole to wind the clock which isn't great but only every 14 days. All in all I'm delighted.
