Richly detailed seascape vessel oil painting titled "Clipper Ship & Sailboat" by American marine artist Marshall Johnson. Moody greens and blues form the ocean waves, punctuated by evocative dabs of white seaspray, capturing the beauty of the open waters as two vessels slice through the waves. Born in Boston, Marshall Johnson (1850–1921) trained at the Lowell Institue and Boston Art Club, studied with William E. Norton, and traveled Europe to further hone hiscraft. Oil painting on canvas, signed by the artist in the lower left corner. Handpainted in America. Exclusively at Scully & Scully.
