The Fantôme Ceiling Lamp is an innovative mix of contemporary lighting design and Baccarat heritage. Featuring clear cut-crystal pendants and Baccarat’s signature single ruby red crystal amongst them, in a resplendent glimmering display. A heat-resistant bulb, which comes with the unit, radiates through a faux candle. The Fantome unit is fixed to the ceiling with a crossbar, which is masked by a satine finish; it may be hung alone or with other units as a kind of unstructured chandelier. Sold Individually. Particularly effective as a pair.

Martyn Lawrence Bullard is a multiaward winning interior designer renowned for his broad range of styles and eclectic, yet sophisticated and inviting interiors. Martyn’s extraordinary attention to detail and commitment to quality have won him international acclaim. His collaboration with Daum for an interior design chandelier was therefore self-evident. When asked about his work he stated the following:

‘‘The chandelier came about from a desire to highlight the beauty of Daum crystal’s intensely layered color and depth. I felt this was best shown when light floods through the crystal. From that knowledge I built up the idea of a beautiful chandelier where the crystal could be seen at its most magnificent. For the Eden chandelier my ideas came from the temptation of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The very idea that Daum crystal is so tempting it becomes irresistible. The most delicious of sculptures, a bright rosy red apple, is buried within the leaves glowing temptingly and becomes the surprise and completion of this creation"

Each Daum crystal piece is made using the rare and ancient "Pâte de Verre" glassmaking technique, which dates back to 5,000 BC and involves melting many fragments of colored crystal within a mold. This results in intense colors and subtle shading. Handmade in France.

Cabled arms in the grand tradition of glassmaking and its round shape-cut curved crystal lampshades have been specifically conceived to draw a perfect spherical shape. Spiked prisms, festoons of octagons and scrolls come adorning the Baccarat Le Roi Soleil Chandelier. A red crystal octagon represents the Baccarat signature and is linked to a spiked prism signed by Marcel Wanders. Handmade in France.
