The antiqued gold leaf finish is hand-laid onto the handmolded wood composite. The mirror itself is convex. Made in America, with fifteen separate hand-finishing applications. Hangers are included, as are hanging and cleaning instructions.

    The dramatic scale of this mirror style is extraordinarily impressive. Deeply undercut, the turned molding is punctuated by thirteen fully-round balls that symbolize the thirteen Colonial states. Finished in antique gold leaf with a black rim. In 1803 Thomas Sheraton recorded in his "Cabinet Directory," "convex mirrors have become unusually popular for their agreeable effect by reflecting the perspective of rooms and for their convenience as a light source." For these same reasons convex mirrors continue to be popular today.
