Murano glass is mouth-blown on the Venetian island of Murano, which has specialized in glasswares for centuries. Minerals are added to liquid glass to provide the aquamarine color before being crafted into beautiful works of art. The fish then undergo the Scavo technique, in which a special corrosive liquid is used to give a unique powdered finish. As each piece is individually handmade, sizes and coloration can slightly vary.
