Elegant!

Scully carries so many wonderful lamps - it's difficult to choose! Our Breakfast Room needed some lamps which did not compete with the French country furnishings and colorful art. After a great deal of catalogue and online shopping (and measuring!), I ordered two of these Old Paris Candlestick lamps to go on a corner linen chest under a painting. PERFECTION! Neither lamps nor shades take up much space, and they provide a lot of light for this style of lamp (60 watts per lamp). As with the other lamps we have bought from Scully, they are of good weight, well-made, and come with lovely silk shades. The lamps have wonderful detailing and really do look as though they could be older than they are. They are not inexpensive, but I plan to enjoy them for the rest of my life - they are that versatile and beautiful!

The Gilded Age

We have sought buffet lamps for a dozen years without success, each leaving us underwhelmed with drab and even silly design--until we saw this lamp. It is as exquisitely proportioned as it is beautifully detailed with as much and excellent attention given to its shade as to the molding and gilding of the metal. It is one thing to illuminate a lamp's surroundings to good effect but quite another to stand alone as an objet d'art, which this does. We are most excellently pleased.

Beautiful lamps!

The Old Paris Candlestick Lamps were a perfect solution to my problem, which was to find a way to provide suitable lighting on a narrow table behind a damask-covered Georgian-style sofa. They are beautifully detailed and formal enough in appearance to serve admirably in that regard. I couldn't be more pleased with them.

Old Paris candlestick lamp

This is a very nice, heavy base lamp. I purchased two for a sideboard and found them to look too dainty for the space. They are not as tall as I needed. So I have split the pair and have placed them in different rooms. If you have a small side table 36 inches or so I think they would work as a pair. My sideboard is 72 inches in length and they looked tiny. Still a beautiful design to the lamp. Would love these as traditional candlesticks and larger size lamp.
