A beautiful slice of ruby is handcut before being polished, revealing the unique swirling and shifting hues of red beneath the surface. The red color is due to the presence of chromium in the gemstone. Ruby represents creativity and promotes intuition, spiritual wisdom, good fortune, love and loyalty and is the birthstone for July.
