The Elysée service was produced by the Sèvres Manufactory in 1832, for the personal use of King Louis-Philippe at the Tuileries Palace. From the very start of his reign, Louis-Philippe preferred to entirely replace the table settings of the royal residences rather than make use of pieces inherited from his predecessors. Handmade in France.

Founded in 1737 under Louis XV, then put under the protection of the Comte d’Artois, Louis XVI’s brother in 1774 and sold during the Revolution, Ancienne Manufacture Royale de Limoges has been part of Bernardaud since 1986 and produces all its historical models in its Limoges workshops according to the strictest quality standards.

    Bernardaud Roseraie $100 - $2,867

Flowers have consistently been the motif of choice of painters and Roseraie experiments with romantic arrangements, exuberant intertwined branches, and golden accents to illuminate the design and emphasize the delicate hues of the flowers. Perhaps the last vestige of a regime recently abolished by the Revolution, a golden crown mischievously encircles the well of the Limoges porcelain plate. Original pieces from this sumptuous collection may be found at the Montmartre Museum in Paris. Handmade in France.

    Bernardaud Marie Antoinette $83 - $2,903

Queen Marie-Antoinette’s service was delivered to the Versailles palace on the 2nd of January in 1782 by the Royal Sèvres Manufactory. Its gracious Comte d’Artois shape, enhanced by its “pearl and cornflower” decoration, is enchanting in its delicate simplicity, its decoration placement seemingly improvised. The cornflower, a simple wild flower, was a favorite of the queen. It was the color of her eyes and she would gather them in fresh bouquets at the country retreat of her hamlet in the Petit Trianon. Cornflowers are placed between two rows of pearls, set against a green background, and highlighted by golden filets. Looking as if they have been freshly gathered, a simple bouquet of wild cornflowers decorates the center of the plate. Only two of the original pieces from this celebrated dinnerware service can still be found as part of French national collections: one is held by the Versailles château and the other by the Louvre Museum. Handmade of fine Limoges porcelain in France.

    Meissen Blue Onion $74 - $4,613

    Assorted Pieces

In 1739, Meissen discovered a unique combination of cobalt and oxygen by that resulted in the ability to create rich blues that would survive the extreme heat of porcelain firing. The first pattern to use this new color was Blue Onion, inspired by East Asian motifs of pomegranates, peaches, bamboo, lotus blossoms, and chrysanthemums. Then as now, the underglaze is handpainted with fine brushstrokes onto the fired and porous substrate. The color quickly penetrates deeply into the still absorbent material, appearing dull grey. Only after glazing and a second firing at a temperature of 1,450° does it acquire its magically radiant, cobalt-blue hue. A sturdy overglaze protects the décor and makes it dishwasher-safe. The famous Crossed Swords of Meissen, used since 1888, can be found at the foot of the bamboo stalk. Handmade and handpainted in Germany by Europe’s first porcelain manufactory.

Inspired by the paintings of the Rococo painter Jean Pillement (1728-1808), the porcelain manufacturer Raynaud created this striking "Longjiang" dinnerware. Each piece of this fine Limoges porcelain service is handcrafted. It comprises six different designs, all painted in powerful colours and depicting Chinese country scenes from the eighteenth century. The shapes are joyfully nostalgic.
"Longjiang" by Raynaud has replaced "Si Kiang" (same design on another shape). The dinner service is framed with a green rim, but the rim, which does not bear the wicker structure, is slightly less ostentatious than its predecessor.
Raynaud is one of the most important porcelain manufacturers based in the legendary French porcelain town of Limoges, and it is particularly renowned for its innovative designs
