Bernardaud A La Reine $101 - $3,504
Assorted Pieces
The first prestigious service produced by the Royal Manufactory after it acquired its royal status, the A La Reine service was issued in 1784 and the original pieces can be found today in the collections of the world’s greatest museums. The curves of its Comte d’Artois shape are characteristic of the elegant lines given to precious objects at the time. Its floral decoration is characteristic of the second half of the 18th century and the reign of Louis XVI. The design includes bouquets and swathes of flowers - honeysuckle, roses, tulips, carnations and daisies - painted au naturel and in saturated colors. At the time, their studied spontaneity was designed to conceal slight imperfections in the Limoges porcelain caused by wood firing. A thin blue band at the rim highlights its gilded, scalloped border design. Many of the original pieces are held by the Adrien Dubouché National Museum in Limoges. Handmade in France.
$101 - $3,504
Founded in 1737 under Louis XV, then put under the protection of the Comte d’Artois, Louis XVI’s brother in 1774 and sold during the Revolution, Ancienne Manufacture Royale de Limoges has been part of Bernardaud since 1986 and produces all its historical models in its Limoges workshops according to the strictest quality standards.Assorted Pieces

Bernardaud Splendid $1,336 - $8,482
Assorted Pieces
A fabulous incrustation service, Splendid is a truly impressive dinnerware that features generous gold incrustation. Handcrafted of Limoges porcelain, each piece goes through a multi-step process to produce the stunning quality and depths of gold. First, a protective varnish decal is applied before the porcelain is dipped into a bath of hydrofluoric acid that eats away the exposed areas to engrave the motif. The piece is then rinsed and decorated with either two consecutive layers of gold (brilliant followed by matte) or bright platinum, which requires two firings. This ensures the richness and durability of the design. Truly, a work of art. Handmade in France.

Known as “pointillé d’or” or “sablé d’or” (or even “partridge eye”), these motifs mixed golden dots with shades of blue fire, forming small circles. Constellation d’Or recreates these geometric patterns and modernizes them, decorating white porcelain with a constellatino of blue-gold stars. Handmade in Portugal.
