Bernardaud Opera Garnier Salad Plate Set of 6 by Marc Chagall

Special Ordertooltip Free Shipping

Unveiled in 1964, famed Paris Opera House Garnier commissioned a stunning 2,600 square foot fresco from Marc Chagall. The dramatic ceiling required over 440-pounds of paint and took over 8 months to produce. Here, the ceiling has been translated into a set of six complementary salad plates, showing the progression from sketch to finished artwork, adapting the playful and joyous nature of Chagall’s designs and colors onto porcelain. Handmade in France.

Measures 8¼" diameter.
