In the thirties of the eighteenth century no fewer than ten types of cupboards were put on the market in Delft. According to the fashion of that time, cupboards were placed on the overhanging hood of a cabinet. This Delft Blue Jar would be placed on the cupboard, showcasing the beauty and skill of the handpainting from Royal Delft's master painters. Here, the lidded vase is available to stand alone with the timeless delft blue floral motif on all sides. Entirely handpainted in Holland in the same workshop in production since the 17th century. Exclusively at Scully & Scully.
