Description Shipping & Returns

Maria Luise Bodirsky is a German artist, whose favorite theme is the Man and his relationship to the universe. Her subjects are often women, shown in conjunction with nature – at times, the form she chooses to create is a mixture of the two, as with this sculpture where the feminine silhoutte also resembles a flower petal, especially towards the bottom of her dress. Every Daum creation is made using the rare and ancient "Pâte de Verre" glassmaking method, which dates back to 5,000 BC. It involves melting many fragments of colored crystal within a mold, resulting in intense colors against a subtly shaded background. Limited edition of 250 .
