A figurine of the smiling Buddha in a marvelous blend of yellow and red. The rare and ancient "Pâte de Verre" glassmaking technique, which dates back to 5,000 BC, involves melting many fragments of colored crystal within a mold. This results in intense colors and subtle shading. Handmade in France.

Measures 4¼" w x 2¾" d x 2½" h.
