An architect by training, Xavier Carnoy has developed a highly personal style: shapes stripped down to their bare essence, without superfluous detail, as well as evocative dynamism. Recognized for his animal sculptures, he focuses his experimentation principally on harmony, balanced shapes, and volumes. The artist brings new eyes to Daum's line of sealife sculptures with the abstract fish forms, producing a highly artistic result.

Each Daum crystal piece is made using the rare and ancient "Pâte de Verre" glassmaking technique, which dates back to 5,000 BC amd involves melting many fragments of colored crystal within a mold. This results in intense colors and subtle shading. Handmade in France. Limited edition of 375.
