Umberto Nuzzo is a French modern artist, whose fascination with sealife is evident in his art. His love for aquatic wildlife inspired many pieces and his strive to capture the movements, the volumes and the singularity of this universe from the oceans, is what led to the creation of the manta ray. Captured here in crystal, the piece is hand-crafted using the rare and ancient "Pâte de Verre" glassmaking method, which dates back to 5,000 BC. It involves melting many fragments of colored crystal within a mold, resulting in intense colors against a subtle background. Handmade in France. Limited edition of 50.
