The Épine candle is inspired by a line of bathroom accessories designed by René Lalique himself in 1920, adorned with a delicately interlaced design of brambles, raspberries and blackberries. The Platinum Edition enhances the design, tracing the stylized curves of a blackberry bush with platinum on the brambles and fruit to set them alight like moon rays, against a background of satin crystal. Composed by renowned young perfumer Jérôme Épinette, from the Grasse-based house of Robertet, rich woody scent blend the evocative notes of a fairy tale forest. A sophisticated palette of noble ingredients, from the bright pine and citrus facets of resinous elemi to flaming-gold saffron, and from sensuous vanilla to the delightful smoke of incense and papyrus... Purple notes of black cherry and violet flowers add their delicious glow to a backdrop of velvety patchouli and leather. The white wax candle is presented in stunning mouthblown purple crystal, handcut with the Épine motif. Once burned, the candle becomes a fabulous satin crystal vase. Handcrafted in France.
