Free-standing trompe l’oeil firescreen features an antique Swedish birdcage inhabited by blue finches. Printed in pigment varnished onto a flat wood composite board from an original oil painting. Made in America.

Measures 27¾"w x 32" h. Allow 8" for hinged stand.

Picture Perfect Fire Screen

The trompe l'oeil birdcage print looks just like a beautifully executed painting, and now that I have received the item, the colors are quite accurate as shown on the website. The "cage" colors are a soft celadon and sage with occasional strokes of yellow gold, and the finches are blue with green undertones. This piece would make a lovely, sturdy fire screen. However, I am so pleased with the "painting", that I will be removing the small hinged stand from the back, and hanging it on the wall in our guest bedroom. Standing as a fire screen, or hanging as a "painting", this piece is fun, a bit whimsical, and quite lovely!

the firescreen is even prettier in person than it is online!It looks beautiful with my fabrics in my living room! I never have a fire in that room so this is perfect.Well packaged too!
