Vista Alegre Lord Ganesh

The Lord Ganesh is entirely handcrafted of biscuit porcelain with intricate detailing. The Hindu elephant god of wit, wisdom, and fortune, Ganesh has one hand raised out palm flat as a blessing. Other symbolism captured by the artists include a handpainted cobra belt, to protect one's wealth, a single tusk as a reminder to keep the good and discard the bad, a bowl of sweet treats to appreciate, and a bundle of ropes in one hand resembling a lotus, to bring you closer to your goals. This beautiful sculpture is handpainted and accented with 24k gold. Handmade porcelain from Vista Alegre, the Royal Factory of Portugal, since 1824.
