Rani Padmini (or Padmavati) is a legendary figure in Indian history, known for her beauty, courage, and role in resisting the invasion of Sultan Alauddin Khilji in the 14th century. She was queen of Chittorgarh in Rajasthan and became famous for the jauhar, a collective act of self-immolation to preserve the honor of the women of the kingdom when the fortress was besieged. Her story is told in epic poems such as the Padmavat and symbolizes dignity, bravery, and loyalty. Handmade in France.
